One of my favorite christmas songs and i love this version. That´s what I call Christmas feeling. Goose bumps! I have no clue how a drummer boy got included into the original christmas story and I am pretty sure there was no historical drummer boy there. still i love the idea of it and how it goes in the text: "I will play my best for him". Hmmm, I guess a baby being just born had no great use of loudly played drums. Rather the opposite. But I believe that God can be honored by the way we do play our "daily drum", if we do our best for him. It keeps me wondering what I would bring to the crib as a gift. What is the most precious, finest I can give Jesus?
